1. 7-Day Free Trial

All new users receive a 7-day free trial to explore peekabite's features:

  • No credit card required for the trial
  • Full access to all features during the trial period
  • No charges if you cancel before the trial ends
  • Trial converts to paid subscription after 7 days if not canceled

2. Subscription Pricing

After the free trial, our pricing is:

  • Monthly Plan: $7.99/month, billed monthly
  • Annual Plan: $69.00/year, billed annually (save 30%)

3. Refund Eligibility

3.1 Monthly Subscriptions

We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee for monthly subscriptions:

  • Request a refund within 7 days of your first payment
  • Full refund, no questions asked
  • Renewals (2nd month onwards) are non-refundable

3.2 Annual Subscriptions

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee for annual subscriptions:

  • Request a refund within 14 days of your annual payment
  • Full refund if requested within the 14-day window
  • After 14 days, annual subscriptions are non-refundable
  • Renewals (2nd year onwards) are subject to the same 14-day policy

4. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds are NOT available in the following cases:

  • After the refund window has expired (7 days for monthly, 14 days for annual)
  • Partial refunds for unused portions of the subscription period
  • Account termination due to Terms of Service violations
  • Change of mind after the refund period
  • Technical issues on your end (device compatibility, internet connection, etc.)

5. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund within the eligible timeframe:

  1. Email us at support@peekabite.com
  2. Subject line: "Refund Request"
  3. Include:
    • Your account email address
    • Date of payment
    • Reason for refund (optional but appreciated)
  4. We'll process your refund within 5-7 business days
  5. Refund will appear on your original payment method within 7-10 business days

6. Cancellation Policy

You can cancel your subscription at any time:

  • Cancel through your account settings or by emailing support
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
  • You retain access until the end of the paid period
  • No refund for the remaining days of your current billing cycle
  • Your data remains accessible until the subscription expires

7. Failed Payments

If your payment fails:

  • We'll send you an email notification
  • You'll have 7 days to update your payment method
  • After 7 days, your subscription will be paused
  • No refund is issued for failed payments
  • Reactivate by updating your payment method

8. Promotional Discounts

If you subscribed using a promotional discount or coupon:

  • Refunds are processed at the discounted price you paid
  • You cannot combine promotional pricing with refund requests after the refund period
  • Promotional codes may have different terms (specified at time of offer)

9. Account Deletion

When you delete your account:

  • Your subscription is automatically canceled
  • All data (meal plans, child profiles) is permanently deleted
  • No refund is provided for account deletion outside the refund window
  • You can create a new account at any time, but previous data cannot be recovered

10. Disputes and Chargebacks

If you have a billing dispute:

  • Contact us first: Email support@peekabite.com before filing a chargeback
  • We'll work with you to resolve the issue quickly
  • Chargebacks without prior contact may result in account suspension
  • Fraudulent chargebacks may result in permanent account termination

11. Exceptional Circumstances

In rare cases, we may consider refunds outside our standard policy for:

  • Extended service outages (more than 48 hours)
  • Billing errors on our part
  • Other exceptional situations (evaluated case-by-case)

12. Processing Time

Approved refunds are processed as follows:

  • Review: 1-2 business days
  • Processing: 5-7 business days
  • Bank posting: 7-10 business days (varies by bank)
  • Total time: Up to 2-3 weeks for full refund to appear

13. Currency and Taxes

Refunds are issued in the same currency as the original payment. Any transaction fees, currency conversion fees, or taxes are non-refundable.
